Chicken House Fire

Sussex County Emergency Operation Center dispatched stations 71,81,77 and medic 102 for a chicken house fire. Units arrived on scene to find a chicken house on the ground with fire burning under neath. Asst. Chief Shawn Scott established Mirey Branch Road Command. Shortly after Sta 87 was requested for a tanker assist. Units operated on scene and protect exposures and shortly cleared after. Special thank you to the neighboring fire companies who assist bring situation under control. Also thank you to Chief Engineer Patrick Gaskin & BVFC Ambulance Captain Gerald Strother.
Units on scene: Tanker 71, 71-9, Command 71, Tanker 81, 81-3, 81-4, 77-4, Tanker 87, Medic 102 and Ambulance 81.
