MVC With Rescue

BVFC was dispatched along with Sussex County ALS and Trooper 2 for a motor vehicle accident. B71 arrived first and reported one subject trapped. Rescue 71 went responding under direction of Fire Lt. Hudson and arrived to find a box truck on its side and a smart car in a ditch off Seaford Road. Lt. Hudson established Seaford Road Command and assigned Fire Lt. Hurlock extrication officer. Crews stabilized the vehicle and sussefully extricated patient in a timely manner. Patient was transported to local hospital. Engine 81-4 responded to assist and Engine 71-3 also responded. Roadway was opened back up and scene was turned over to DSP.
