Keeping safe during these troubling times
Saturday, April 4, 2020

During this unprecidented event, the officers and members of the Blades Volunteer Fire Company want to let everyone know that we are here to help you in your time of need. With that being said, we need you to help us. Please stop any unnecessary travel. This will limit your exposure chances and reduce the spread of this very dangerous illness that is upon us.If you have to go out for essential supplies, only send one person to gather them. Stores are now limiting the number of persons in their buildings under a directive from the office of the Governor.According to WBOC, Delaware officials expect the rise in cases to spike in the next 2-3 weeks. This will put a strain on statewide emergency services. We also ask if you or someone you care for have to call for emergency services, be very clear in describing your symptoms and listen carefully to the questions the 911 dispatchers will be asking. This will help our responders be properly protected when they arrive at your location.
