Motor Vehicle Crash - Brickyard Road

Station 71 was alerted for a motor vehicle crash on Brickyard Road at 13:19 hours on November 10th. 71 Command responded with Chief Earl Chaffinch, upon arrival of Command 71, Chief Chaffinch alerted incoming Tanker 71 that a pickup truck struck a utility pole which had broken off with wires down and vehicle on fire. Chief Chaffinch ordered both directions of Brickyard Road shut down. Due to live wires on the vehicle fire crews had to wait for Delmarva Power to cut the electric. Once that was completed the fire crews extinguished the fire. Units responding Command 71, Engine/Tanker 71-2, Fire Police units.
