Gas Leak - Seaford Road North of Mt. Zion Road

Station 71 was alerted at 18:49 p.m. for a smell of gas near 28000 block of Seaford Road, it was determined that it was the main transmission line for Chesapeake Utilities. This was the same location at a previous gas leak earlier in the week. 71 Command responding with Chief Earl Chaffinch arrived on scene and requested the shutdown of Seaford Road from Bethel Concord Road to Mt. Zion Road. Engine Tanker 71 responded along with Engine 71-9 to the scene. Ambulance B-71 responded for EMS coverage. Chesapeake Utilities was requested to respond to determine where the leak was. All units cleared and returned to station.
