Safety Day at Seaford Walmart - Seaford Walmart

Station 71 along with Station 81 Laurel,Station 72 Bridgeville, Greenwood Police Department, Delaware State Police, Delaware State Police Helicopter Trooper 2, Sussex County Sheriff's Department, Sussex County Paramedic's and Delaware Citizens Corp participated in the Walmart-Seaford Annual Safety Day. Fire Prevention Chairman Todd Reilly had special give-a-ways for the many children that stopped by, they received a fire helmet, school bag and other items. The kids and parents also enjoyed the firefighter demonstration by Junior Firefighter Tyler Balas, Bridgeville's Fire Prevention Chairman John Tomeski also had a display set up with give-a-ways for the kids. Sussex County Paramedic Gaby Evans talked with the kids and parents about what a paramedic does. McGruff the Crime Dog was on duty and was a hit with the kids of all ages. Mike Carroll, Vice President of the Laurel Fire Department had Engine 81-2 on display for the future fighters. Delaware State Police had on display several give-a-ways plus a special finger print identification/registration. Trooper 2 was also opened up so that the people could get a close up of what the helicopter looks like on the inside. Several hundred people stopped by to see what was going on.
