Wires Down from Storm - River Road, West of Market Street

Station 71 was alerted for wires and trees down on River Road in the area of the first bridge at 16:22. 71 Command responding with Chief Earl Chaffinch arrived on scene to find several trees that were down and laying on electric lines. Chief Chaffinch advised incoming units of the situation and advised Fire Police to reroute traffic away from the scene. With the wires down many houses were without power for several hours until DP&L could restore service and the debris cleared from the roadway. Engine 71-9, Rescue 71 and Ambulance B-71 also responded to the scene as well as the Fire Police.
