2013 Blades School Fire Prevention Winner Award Presentation

The Winners of the 2013 Fire Prevention Essay and Poster Contest from Blades Elementary School were invited to the Blades Fire Company for an Awards and Pizza Party. The winning student, their parents and their Teacher were invited to attend. The students participated by either drawing a poster or a written essay based on the different grade topics. The first place winner from each grade was presented certificate and a new bicycle and helmet, the second and third place winners received a certificate and a gift certificate from Walmart. Those that received the First Place Award moved on to the judging that was held on the County level competing with all the winners from Sussex County, If the student won at the County level they then in turn went on to the State Level. Congratulations to all the Student's for participating, their Teacher's for their continued support and encouragement, and to their parents. The Member's of the Blades Volunteer Fire Company are very proud of all the student's for the participation in this Program. The Fire Company would like to send a Special Thanks to Walmart of Seaford for their help and sponsorship of the Fire Prevention Winner event.
