The Blades Fire Department proudly serves the Town of Blades and surrounding communities in western Sussex County, Delaware. Founded on a commitment to neighbors helping neighbors, our department has a long-standing tradition of providing reliable fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue services, and community support. As a volunteer-based organization, we are dedicated to protecting life, property, and the environment with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
Our members train continuously to meet the evolving demands of modern emergency services. From structure fires and motor vehicle collisions to medical emergencies and community risk reduction, we are prepared to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through partnerships with neighboring departments and public safety agencies, we ensure coordinated and effective response across our region.
